Handling unrequested password reset emails
Receiving unexpected password reset emails can be unsettling, but there's no need to be concerned. A password reset request that you didn't initiate doesn't allow access to your account unless your email account is compromised, as the account's password can't be reset without clicking the link in the email. For the highest level of security, you should enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on your forum account and on your email account. If you're using Gmail, you can follow these instructions to enable two-factor authentication on your email account. You can also change your forum account password and email account password.
