PayPal encryption error

Your forum users may encounter a PayPal encryption error while making a payment for paid access to your forum. You can follow the instructions below to change the settings in your PayPal account and prevent the error from appearing.

1. Log in to your PayPal Account.
2. Click the account icon next to the Logout button.
3. Click My selling tools.
4. Click Update next to Website preferences.
5. In the section titled Encrypted Website Payments select Off.
6. Save the changes.

Please note that the user's financial and other information will still be fully encrypted by PayPal. Turning the option off will not create any security risk for your users. This option only turns off the encrypting of the PayPal buy now or subscribe button's HTML code. That is typically done to ensure that the user does not manipulate the HTML code to change the payment amount. To ensure that the proper amount is paid, our system automatically verifies the payment amount once it has been paid.
