Adding a video to a post

Supported video hosting sites include YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, Metacafe, and Facebook. If the video has already been uploaded to a supported video hosting site, simply mention the video URL (address) in your post. Whenever the post is displayed, the URL will automatically be converted into an embedded video that can be played without having to leave the page.

If you're an administrator and you need to embed a video from a site other than the supported video hosting sites, you can insert the HTML embed code for the video into the post.

If you would like to avoid having the video URL converted into an embedded video, use the Insert Link toolbar button to insert your video URL as a link. Ensure that the text for the link is something other than the video URL.

You can uploaded the video as an attachment to a post. When the post is viewed, the video will automatically be displayed as an embedded video within the post if the user's browser and operating system support streaming that type of video. The maximum file size of post attachments is limited to 200 MB.

If you would like to stream inline videos that are only private to your forum, we recommend trying a private video hosting service such as Vzaar.
