Website Toolbox infrastructure and backup practices
Our infrastructure is hosted on Amazon's AWS platform to ensure a minimum of 99.999% uptime. Amazon AWS is trusted by some of the largest websites in the world to provide rock-solid reliability and speed, including Yelp, Netflix, PBS, Spotify, Reddit, Pinterest, Expedia, Airbnb, Adobe, and many more.
Reliably serving your pages with blistering speed is our top priority. When a page request is received, it is handled by a load balancer which chooses one of many servers in multiple data centers to process your request. Our servers are distributed in multiple georgaphically separate data centers, so if any number of servers fail for any reason or an entire data center goes offline, your content will continue to be served without any interruption. That's why we have been able to keep a 99.999% uptime record over the last decade of business.
Content is mirrored in real-time on multiple databases located in different data centers to ensure the same reliability can be provided for your data. The data is backed up on an hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly basis as separate redundant backups. Rest assured that Website Toolbox would be able to easily restore any data in the event of an emergency or disaster.
You can also log in to your Website Toolbox account to export your content to your computer so you have your own personal backup.
