Users receive an error saying we received an unsubscribe request

If a user receives an error saying "We received an unsubscribe request when trying to validate your email address. Please update your account with a valid email address." when they visit the forum, it means that they clicked the unsubscribe link in the email address verification email that was sent to them when they signed up or changed their email address. Unsubscribing from our email address verification email indicates to us that the user doesn't want to receive any email from the forum, so we prevent any further emails from being sent to that email address and ask the user for a new email address next time they visit the forum.

If the user unsubscribed by accident, the email address can temporarily be changed to a different email address and then changed back to the user’s actual email address. They'll then receive another email address verification email. They should click the Verify email address button in that email instead of clicking the unsubscribe link. That will give them access to their forum account again.
