The WYSIWYG advanced text editor

The WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) text editor allows users to use advanced text formatting like bold, italics, underline, bullet lists, and more.

Users assigned as an administrator will automatically see an HTML icon in the editor that will allow them to directly edit the HTML of the post to use HTML tags like iframes or tables. Normal users will typically not see the HTML icon. If you would like all of your forum users to be able to edit the HTML of posts, contact customer support to request for the feature to be activated in your forum.

Compatibility

The advanced editor is compatible with most modern browsers. However, it is disabled on mobile browsers and tablets due to cursor position, highlighting, zoom, text size, and keyboard issues on those devices. The issues are part of the device itself and beyond the control of Website Toolbox, Therefore, to increase usability, the advanced editor will remain disabled for those devices until they gain full support for advanced editing. Browsers which do not support the advanced editor will display a normal text box instead.

Please report any issues you encounter with the advanced editor to customer support. Include full details regarding your device's name, operating system, version number, browser version, and steps to reproduce the issue.
