Signatures

Signatures contain information that you want to include at the bottom of all your posts. This might include pictures, links to your site(s), quotes, your contact information, etc.

Signatures can be enabled or disabled on a per user group basis.

You can enable or disable the signature option by editing the user group?'s permission. Once you disable signatures for a user group, the users in that group would not be able to add a signature to their account.

You can prevent all the users of your forum from adding a signature to their profile or from editing a previously added signature to their profile by following the directions mentioned below:

  1. Log in to your Website Toolbox account.
  2. Click the Settings link.
  3. Click the Users link.
  4. Click the Manage link next to Profiles.
  5. In the Custom Profile Fields section, click Signature.
  6. Turn the Required and Visibility options off.

A user can specify a maximum of 500 characters for the signature. This limit is there to prevent abuse by malicious users.

User Accounts must be enabled for your forum users to have signatures.
