Preventing search engines from indexing user profiles

You can prevent search engines from indexing user profiles by following the instructions below.

Note that users who haven't logged in will also not be able to view the profiles. They'll be asked to log in or sign up when they try to view a user's profile.

1. Log in to your Website Toolbox account.
2. Click the Users link in the main menu.
3. Click on the Manage link next to the Not Signed Up / Not Logged In user group.
4. In the Manage menu, click Permissions.
5. In the General section, turn the View Profiles permission off.
6. Save your settings.
