Changing the forum home page
When a user visits your forum, you can show the Topics page, Categories page, or a custom page as the default home page.
The Topics page works great as the home page on small forums where each individual category might not have a lot of activity. Also, since users can hide categories that they aren't interested in, the Topics page becomes a single place they can visit to quickly see new activity in all of the categories they are interested in.
The Categories page is a good home page for large forums with a lot of activity or forums where there are many different categories of discussion taking place.
The custom home page option allows you to create your own home page for the forum. You can design it with your own styled text, images, videos, custom HTML code, or whatever you would like. It's a nice way to show users an introduction before they enter the forum. The custom home page will only appear to guests (users that are not logged in to a forum account).
