Blocking a specific search engine or bot

You can block a specific search engine or bot from accessing your forum by following these instructions. However, instead of entering an IP address to ban, enter the name of the search engine or bot. The name is case-sensitive and must appear exactly as it appears in the user agent. For example, AhrefsBot.

If your forum is private, search engines and bots will not be able to access your forum so you don't need to specifically block them.

Alternatively, you can block all bots and search engines from accessing and indexing your forum.
