Assigning a category moderator

You can assign a moderator to a category by following the directions below:

  1. Log in to your Website Toolbox account.
  2. Click the Categories link.
  3. Click the Moderators link next to the category name.
  4. In the Moderators menu, click the Add Moderator link.
  5. Specify the username of an existing user in your forum. Then specify the permissions that the user will have as a category moderator.
  6. Save the settings.

You can assign a moderator to multiple categories at once by following the directions below:

  1. Log in to your Website Toolbox account.
  2. Click the Categories link.
  3. Click the New Moderator link.
  4. Specify the username of an existing user in your forum. Then specify the permissions that the user will have as a moderator.
  5. Save the settings.

Please note that setting a moderator for All Existing Categories is a one-time action. If you create a new forum later, you will need to manually assign the moderator to that category as well.

Alternatively, you can assign a user as an administrator, which gives them full permission to moderate all content and members.

The User Accounts option must be enabled to assign category moderators.

You can also use the inappropriate content filter as an automated moderator. It can automatically detect and reject or require approval of posts containing toxicity, insults, profanity, identity attacks, flirtatious or sexually explicit content, or threats using machine learning.
