Allowing search engines to only index topic titles

You can allow search engines to only index topic titles by turning off the "View Topic Content" permission for the guest user group.

Note that users who haven't logged in will also not be able to view the topic content. They'll be asked to log in or sign up when they click a topic link to view the posts inside it.

Alternatively, you can set this up for specific categories instead of the whole forum by following these instructions:

1. Log in to your Website Toolbox account.
2. Click the Categories link.
3. Scroll down to the category and click on the Manage link.
4. In the Manage menu, click the Change Permissions link.
5. Select the Not Signed Up / Not Logged In User Group from the drop down.
6. Toggle the check box next to View Others' Topics permission and remove the permission.
7. Close the Change Permissions dialog window.
