Moving a post to a different topic
- Log in to your forum account. (Must be a moderator or administrator account.)
- Browse to the reply that you want to move.
- Click the or icon located towards the top-right of the post and select Move. If there is no Move link, that means the appropriate permissions are not set for the moderator or administrator account.
- Select the option of Move Posts to New Topic to move a post to the new topic and provide the Destination Category and the Title to create a new topic.
Or
Select the option of Move Posts to Existing Topic to move a post to an existing topic and provide the Topic Address of an existing topic. - Click the Move Posts button.
- Log in to your forum account. (Must be a moderator or administrator account.)
- Browse to the topic that contains the post that you want to move.
- Click the check box located at the top-right of the post you want to move. If there is no check box, click the icon next to the Reply button towards the top of the page, click the "Select Posts" option, and then click each post you want to move. If there is also no icon, it means you haven't been assigned the appropriate moderator or administrator permission.
- Click the Move button located towards the bottom of the page.
- Select the option of Move Posts to New Topic to move a post to the new topic and provide the Destination Category and the Title to create a new topic.
Or
Select the option of Move Posts to Existing Topic to move a post to an existing topic and provide the Topic Address of an existing topic. - Click the Move Posts button.
