Embedding a forum into your Moodle website
You can embed a forum into your Moodle website by getting your forum embed code and then following these instructions to insert the embed code into your Moodle website.
- Visit the Moodle website.
- Log in to your Moodle website account.
- Select the site you want to edit.
- Click Actions menu icon on the top right of the page and select Turn editing on.
- Click + Add an activity or resource button.
- Search Page and select Page to add a new page.
- Type in Forum in the Name text box.
- Scroll the page down, click Show/hide advanced button and select </> Code icon.
- If there is already any code in the text box, delete it all.
- Copy your forum embed code and paste it into the text box.
- Click Save and display.
- Click Site Title on the top right corner.
- Click Forum button and copy the link address (By pressing right click on your mouse).
- Click Site administration button in the left menu bar.
- Click Appearance.
- Scroll the page down and click Theme settings.
- Scroll the page down and type in Forum| and paste the link address copied above at point #13 in the Custom menu items text box (i.e:Forum|https://moodle.org/forum).
- Click Save changes.
- Go to your website. A Forum link will now appear in the navigation of your website. Clicking that will open a page with your forum embedded in it.
