Ok - might be a dumb question but I haven't done this before - the final image is 800x600 - is it OK if our initial renders are at a higher res and then resized after pp for final image (providing that original render is also supplied)

Nice prizes
One thought tho.
Wouldn't this be better to submit a email to somewhere, say to Sepo saying you are entering, so they have an idea how many people are entering. Its no good to give such incredible prizes, and only 10 people enter. Last time was something like that and kind of an disappointment and it ended up almost that the crew thought there would be no more competitions because of the lack of anticipation.

I really would recommend that the judges think of this and make a cut off date for entering "registering" for the competition.

leave it or use it, just a thought

sgarland: if you resize from bigger render to 800x600 than please:
1. send the only the resized 800x600
2. state that is resized from ZZZZxYYYY resolution to 800x600
3. keep big sized render in case we will request it

silver_shadow: no need. even if there will be only 10 people, I think it is a nice reward for the courage

tip: send your renders even if you think they are crappy - why ? it will be a chance for us to see what to improve in the rendering workflow to achieve better renders with minimum effort. thanks

You don't need any explanatory text, but it would be useful if we don't understand how the image relates to the theme. After all,you can't just submit any image

Having some explanation would help us to judge better though.

I don't think there will be a lack of contributors...seeing how you advertised it in the SCF!
