User Promotions

A user promotion can be setup to move or promote users from one user group to another automatically based on certain criteria. User promotions can be based on days registered or number of posts or both.

For example, there may be a situation where you would like to give more permission to active users for editing posts made by them. In this case, you can set up promotion based on the number of posts. You can setup two different user groups. One user group can be where users do not have permission to edit their post, while the other user group may give them permission to edit the posts. The condition can be set that after 100 or a certain number of posts, a user's user groups automatically changes to the group where they have permission to edit their posts.

Please follow the instructions mentioned below to create a new user promotion:

1. Log in to your Website Toolbox account.
2. Click the Users link in the main menu.
3. Click the Promotions button. If you don't see a Promotions button, create a new user group first.
4. Click the New User Promotion image.
5. Setup the promotion according to your requirement.
6. Save the settings.
