Comments: When are you coming to the UK? Surely you are due here this year? I keep looking on your website but no indication of an upcoming tour. It is something our friends and we focus on every other year as a highlight, we travel to wherever you are and make a couple of days of it. Look forward to the next time.
Comments: I loved seeing you guys once more at the MIM and I made Whit laugh by telling him that his playing sounded to me like a cross between Tuck Andress and Albert Lee. One of the reasons Albert Lee came up was, watching you, and particularly Whit, I felt you guys could do an absolutely killer version of Albert's "Country Boy". Maybe think about it? I hope it won't be another year before we see you back in Phoenix! All the best, John
Comments: saw you in kansas love your band https://bradsgardeningtips.net
Comments: Dear Elana, What a fantastic time we had in Monarch!! You shine, share and completely inspire through and through. I've been deeply gifted by spending some time with you and the lessons will continue to enrich my life in many ways. I hope your continued music path brings you the greatest joy and abundant rewards. ♥ Brenda
Comments: You are my new favorite band! I saw your band perform in Colby, Kansas at the 28th annual Pickin’ on the Plains in May/June and I think you’re all the most talented musicians I’ve ever heard. You have excellent stage performance as well. I love all the music and variety of music you play. I bought 2 of your cd’s and love them both! Thank you Whit and Elana for taking time to help me pick out the cd’s. I’ve been telling everyone I know about your beautiful music. I live in Colorado and I wondered if you would ever come to Colorado to perform. I would be there if you were here. If you play again in Colby, Kansas I will be there! Thank you Whit, Elana, and Jake for your beautiful music! Pat
Comments: I saw you guys in Asheville years ago, and y'all were great! The Grey Eagle is still open, so why not come again in the fall? Or, maybe you could swing by on another trip?
Comments: Hello! I just got home here in Kalispell April 21. I enjoyed both halfs, the first with just the 3 of you and the second with Tyler Hinton. Last night Mark O'Conner played with our local symphony. Of the two shows, I actually preferred yours. You all seemed happy and joyful and even though our crowd was embarrassingly small, you fit our style! And isn't that what music is supposed to be about? I hope the powers that be have you come back. If they do, dinner at my house! Brent
Comments: I saw you for the first time at The Stoughton Opera House on 4/11. How lucky we are you came to Wisconsin! There were so many wondrous moments throughout the night. You gave us everything you got including your hearts and souls, and we gave ours right back to you. I'll always hang onto the feeling I got when Whit sang" I'll Be a Cowboy All My Life". It was real beyond belief.
Comments: Dear Elana James and the Hot Club of Cowtown, I love your renditions of "Goodbye Liza Jane" and "Little Liza Jane." I thought you might be interested in knowing that a nonfiction book about the "Liza Jane" family of songs was published a couple months ago by University Press of Mississippi. The book narrates a really remarkable history. Details can be found at the University Press of Mississippi website if you're interested: https://www.upress.state.ms.us/Books/P/Poor-Gal Warmly yours, Ledina Eventov
Comments: Have you guys ever thought about playing at Summerfest in Milwaukee? I'm sure you would certainly be welcome!
Comments: Merry Christmas Elana, I caught your show at the Continental Club on Wednesday. Truly awesome seeing y'all again plus Jake as the guest bassist. I posted the video you requested onto YouTube. I thought it was a Django tune but done in the 1930s by someone named Farr according to Jake. There was a young foreign couple sitting next to me (probably from Singapore?). Spoke with them as you were about to bust out the Orange Blossom Special finale. Quote; "I've never seen or heard anything like this before!" I told them about Hot Club of Paris and the relationship with y'all. He was looking you up on his phone and bookmarking it. My wife Cindy wanted me to ask you how y'all settled on "Cowtown" as the town for Hot Club? Y'all met in NYC I thought? Will
Comments: We still remember Elana and her band after they appeared at the Shetland Folk Festival back in 2006. I just love Western Swing music and no one does it better than Elana! On top of the superb performances she gave us, her warm personality shone through. I’d like to wish you well in your career and I’m sure you will continue to bring joy to audiences around the world
Comments: How is it that i never heard your music before? I have been seriously listening to a variety of genres since about 1965. So I'm laying here checking out a new bluetooth speaker I got, streaming Spotify from my phone, and your Rendezvous in Rhythm shows up at the bottom of my screen so I read a little and am immediately intrigued. I click play, and ... WOW! I'm like totally blown away - totally! The sound is absolutely fabulous. I'm drawn into a mesmerizing trance, and then the sounds stop at the end of Douce Ambiance, and I'm jonesing for more. Bravo!!! Thank you.
Comments: Greetings! Just became aware of you, just a year ago. I'm 71, and you bring me back to my High School days when all of the jazz guys were hot on Blossom Dearie and everyone was tuned in. Never seen a young person sing and come close to her (Blossom Dearie) Deed I Do- Vibe. I guess I'm a new fan. Wish you would come to Mississippi (Oxford maybe) cause it's full of '"Cool & Trendies" like Austin City Limits. and it's only 25mi. away. OneAimOneGodOneDestiny R.Ellison.
Comments: Elena, we are SO happy Hot club is coming back to Stowe!!! I saw you at the church in Stowe last fall, gruene hall a few weeks earlier and Kansas City in 2021. If you have time to explore the area, let us Know! I have a dog, can suggest good dog walking spots! See you in August
Comments: hi elana (and with) I saw you 're touring in Belgium and holland, and I can't wait to see you live. maybe you could play a gig in Amsterdam 29 too. Also I m sure peeps in Gent, Brussels or Brugge would love it, there 's t'Ey and Centrale for your kind of music. I really love the vibe of hoc. Maybe in the future I can help you direct to places. Love. Good luck
Comments: Elana: I've been infected by your music for several months and will be attending your concert at Phoenix MIM on FEB 16-23. Do you bring CD's with you to sell or is on-line purchase a better avenue to get several items. I hope this performance is not just an Elvis tribute, but a real smorgasbord of your talent/voice/fiddle-playing. I'll love whatever music rolls off the stage. Milo Beck
Comments: I have no idea why I have never heard of you, but my husband had RFD-TV on and I saw you on Larry’s Country Diner. I too am a singer-jazz violinist! And a Suzuki violin teacher... and a animal/horse person... I raise Shetland ponies... I feel I’ve found a long lost little sister... my mother was also a professional musician AND ... Wait for it... I’m a Meadowmount alum.... 😳 Fun watching your technique... especially the colle chops! ❤️👍

Comments: Elana, noticed you and compadres are in Nashville 4/26/22, and wanted to make you aware of our Georgia String Band Festival, just down the road, that weekend. We honor our local pioneer recording stars The Georgia Yellow Hammers, Andrew and Jim Baxter and notably, The Nichols Brothers, whose "She's Killing Me" HCOC so brilliantly covered. Friday night kickoff, with some of our very best OT players bringing our real-roots American music to life, then The Gordon County Fiddlers' Convention (est. 1924) on Saturday, noon till, in historic downtown Calhoun, Georgia, halfway between Chattanooga and Atlanta, on I-75. Come immerse yourselves in even more great tuneage to cover! Lotsa fun. Here is my piece that describes our festival, and some of our rich history:"https://calhounmagazine-cnhi.newsmemory.com/" Also, our Facebook Page: "https://www.facebook.com/georgiastringbandfestival/" Y'all Come!
Comments: Elana, Are ye, HCCT, planning a Los Angeles date soon? I remember talking with you at your last appearance at McCabe’s. I attended all of your shows at McCabe’s and Boulevard Music. Dearest Lady, I do yearn for more…
Comments: Dear Elena and Hotclub, on Tuesday night my husband and I came to see you at the City Winery in Chicago, and we are so glad we did. It’s been so long since we’ve been anywhere fun. I have to say we had the best time and you all were better than ever!! I found myself just grinning from the happy music you play. Could have sat there all night.
Comments: I just learned the band was live on FB yesterday. Maybe next time...Glad to see you're keeping at it. |
