Here are a few trees that I am playing with - I have created clipmaps for all of the howard digital model tree images. (just google howard architectural rendering) Does anyone know how to batch create components of the clipmap images? I have about 175 trees. EDIT - there is only one tree - the skp file was too big.

Wow k9, that is really useful! Are they png or jpg. png will display 'properly' in SU, whereas jpg won't. It renders fine though. To illustrate, here are some clipmaps for the library. You can see the difference in SU straight away. PNG are better, but not as straightforward to create...

They are all png. Any idea how to 'batch' create components of them? Here is a screenshot of the files

I'm not sure this is possible without some form of Ruby scripting. You could set up a simple 3x3m vertical face, create a material and apply it to the face, make it a component (to set up 'face me') and save it. Then possibly you could just rename the texture, change the source image, and save it as a new name. Not remotely batch processing, but hopefully a reasonably efficient workflow wich should be do-able in 1-2 evenings.

Adolph - here is another clipmap you can experiment with. I need to find a place to post them all.
